How difficult is it to get an EP (Employment Pass) in Singapore?

How difficult is it to get employment pass in Singapore? What factors decide it?

All EP (Employment Pass) applications are not approved in Singapore. MOM (Ministry of Manpower) carefully evaluates every application based on the credentials of both the individual and the hiring company.

Some of the critical points responsible for the selection or rejection of an application are:

  • Age, education, and citizenship of the applicant
  • Applicant’s fixed-monthly salary (at least $3,600)
  • Professional experience and skills of the applicant
  • Company’s reputation and paid-up capital
  • Availability of Singaporean workers of the hiring company
  • Company’s economic viability to Singapore

Your first application may get rejected. If this happens, we will find out the key reasons for rejection with MOM. Once we find out the key issues with your application, we will file an appeal that will address the issues raised by authorities. If MOM finds the additional new details satisfactory, it will approve the EP application.

Kindly note MOM usually takes at least three weeks to review the appeal applications.
