What is the meaning of FYE or Financial Year End?

A Financial Year of a company is its reporting period of the accounts. The meaning of FYE or Financial Year End of a company is generally the end of its Financing Year, and it recurs every year.

As per Companies Act, there is no fixed date for FYE of a company, and it can fall on any day in a year. To determine the FYE of a company, you have to provide a date to the ACRA (Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority) during the incorporation, by way of a notification. If no date is provided, then FYE will be automatically be treated as 31 Dec.
